Best Pokémon Trading Card Game Strategy's
I've been playing PTCG Live for quite a while now, and My rank has been pivoting from 600-700 on a continuous basis. I personally would like to hear what deck strategies have benefited you most? Here are a couple of mine I personally have enjoyed.
Mimikyu, Gholdengo Ex, Alakazam Ex Strategy
This Strategy takes some patience. Most games I will lose prize cards early on, however I will get insane come back wins that most people can't stand.
Mimikyu Safeguard ability stops most V, and Ex Pokémon* from attacking.
*See Note: Mew Ex can be problematic for Mimikyu so make sure you pay attention to that card if it appears, because its Genome hacking attack can knock it out.
Alakazam Ex Dimensional hand Attack will be your most offensive card in this strategy. The attack can be used while he is on bench with 120 HP per attack.
Gholdengo Ex has two purposes in this Strategy. One purpose is for have higher draw turns. Two is for safety measure when you need an offensive quick knock out.
The plan usually is different from the standard way of battling. This is what I recommend:
You are preparing a team that is usually going to be Mimikyu, Manaphy, Alakazam, Gholdengo, and one alternate spot of either Radiant Blastiose or another Gholdengo.
The objective you're going for is to have a full set of boss's orders in your deck. Mimikyu blocks all attacks from those pesky V, VStar, Vmax, and Ex Pokémon. That most decks will strive to use to try to get high damage. Manaphy's ability will benefit you from protecting your bench Pokémon from most damage that may occur. (Eletric type Decks tend to be most beneficial against this.) Alakazam will need abra and rare candy. I've found that is usually the most patient part you'll have to work with. Once he is on the bench with two psychic energy cards. He will be prepared for the dimensional hand attack. Gholdengo basic card Gimmighoul call for family is beneficial in a great way. I like to use it to prep Abra on the field to get ready for my offensive approach. Then once you have Gholdengo on the bench in the game. Your drawing turns have just increased because of his Coin Bonus ability. The faster you draw the better likely you'll be able to prep Alakazam and Mimikyu for attacks. Then your alternate spot is going to be determined by whoever your opponent may be.
Decks with lower HP basics like Ralt's, Comfey's, or Pidgey's:
Use the Radiant Blastiose and Toy Collector strategy. You damage your opponent's weaker Pokémon use toy collector to pull them to active. Then use Alkazam or Mimikyu to finish them off quickly.
Decks with higher HP basics like Zerarora, Lapras:
Use another Gholdengo strategy. This helps benefit from drawing more cards per turn. So, you can energy card collect, and search for the boss's orders to put into your hand.
Once everything is all prepped with your team. The objective is to be basic sniping. Mimikyu Guards all the Rule box cards. Manaphy protects your bench. Gholdengo collects your cards, and Alakazam attacks anything that will potentially destroy Mimikyu's defensive ability.
If anybody has suggestions on this card strategy. I'm open ears!
Would love to hear examples from others.
