Thinking about making a Dragon type deck

Options

Hey everyone, as far as I know I haven't seen an official Dragon type deck in meta (or at least in competitive play). I wanted to make one out of fun since it is my favorite type, any recommendations for what I should put into my deck?

Your best bet would probably be Giratina VSTAR in a Lost Box deck, which has been doing really well at tournaments recently. Dragonite V from Evolving Skies is a little more niche but also fits in nicely to Lost Box.

Off meta Hisuian Goodra VSTAR is still pretty fun, though suffers from a lot more losing matchups than it did in its heyday, and Regidrago VSTAR would allow you to run a bunch of different Dragons at the cost of being inconsistent to set up.

I've been meaning to mess around with Latias from Fusion Strike and Latios from Paradox Rift as a silly rouge deck, that would probably make a fun budget deck if you're into that sort of thing.

Building a deck off a specific type generally does not work very well. You should focus on one strategy and just try to build your entire deck around that. Like Pikayou said, Giratina Lost Zone is probably the strongest dragon deck in the format at the moment.

You could use Radiant Eternatus to put 2 Vmax cards on your bench straight away without any V cards. I'll write a deck list and get back to you.

@Scorbunny1scute I don't think your decklist would work. You'r trying to do too many things at once. You literally have 24 energies in your deck, which is more than a third of the total cards! Your deck seems to have no central strategy, and you're playing bad supporters like Saguaro. Also, why are you playing a Fortress ex when you only have two basic grass energies?

Regidrago VSTAR could be a fun addition.
