Why didn't Ash's Charizard appear in The Power of Us and Secrets of the Jungle?

I remember Charmander in the movie, I Choose You!, the one what was abandoned by his evil ex-trainer Cross, and Ash caught him in the wild, and Ash's Charmander evolved into Charmeleon after his battle against an unnamed girl Trainer's Jigglypuff, and then later into Charizard during his battle against Cross's Incineroar. However, unfortunately, Ash's Charizard has not appeared in the next batch of movies, The Power of Us, and Secrets of the Jungle, meaning that it is always unknown whether or not Ash has his Pokémon on hand or what has happened to him? Now I wonder why you think he hasn't appeared in either movie set after "I Choose You!"? Please let me know, thanks.😉

    Probably something similar to the main series. He left it to train or maybe left it with Oak.
