Glimwood Tangle & Amibpom

I have a deck that focuses on Glimwood Tangle (DAA 162) and Ambipom (GO 57) with its coin-flipping Full Tilt Fling attack. The problem is, if a specific Ambipom moves from the bench to the active spot during my turn and then attacks, Glimwood Tangle doesn't activate. If Amibpom was already my active Pokemon when my turn started, Glimwood Tangle will activate like it should. This is consistent, and no effects in play have prevented the Stadium card from working.
