Parallel Foil Earthen Vessel - Error or Intentional Print?

I pulled a parallel foil Earthen Vessel from Paradox Rift. I noticed something which I think is odd. Normally in a parallel foil, there's a pattern in the background which the card text sits on top of. This card's parallel foil counterpart has no pattern at all, rather an overlay that makes the background dark. Is this made intentional for visual appeal or is this a flaw in the printing process during manufacturing of this card?

That's how the foiling is for all those Ancient and Future cards. Presumably they made it that way to complement the special frames that those cards naturally come with.
