Path to the Peak as an introduction to the TCG

Did anyone else get into the trading card game after watching Path to the Peak, the animated short series on YouTube? I've grown up around Pokemon all my life, but I was never into the TCG until I watched the show. I've since gotten really involved in the local TCG scene, both buying the cards and playing the game, even at conventions and stuff. IMO the show was just a really charming way to advertise the cards, even if it is a little overt that that was its main purpose. I like the idea that you can win with your favorites, even if it's not a meta pick.
