Is there a way to just play the computer similar to the old Pokémon TCG App?

What I enjoyed about the old app was that you could build up and earn credits without having to play people online.

Just wondering if there was a way to earn credits and whatnot the same way.

As far as I know, there is no such thing as practice mode that would let you to play against AI and reward you with small amount of credits.

The only way to play against AI, is when you click the "test deck" button (conical flask icon) when you selecting deck.

AI is however scripted to intentionally loose. It often play mill strategy against itself, using Professor's Research to discard good hand, or Ultra Ball to discard Pokémon only to search for the very same Pokémon card they just threw away, using switch to pull out full HP Pokémon card with all necessary energy cards for attack to replace it with one that does not have any energy cards attached, placing energy card on Pokémon on bench even though they could attack right away if they placed the energy on the active Pokémon card instead, and other shenanigans.

Test deck play against AI is good only for general idea how are your chances to have good initial hand, and drawing the cards you need to play. It's not good to determine how good your deck is against other commonly played decks or practice the deck strategy, since AI is doing some absolutely ridiculous things and thus there is no reward for playing against AI.
