PokémonTCG Live experience

As I delve deeper into the experience of this game, and playing PTCG originally released for Game Boy Color as well, I thought about comparing PTCG Live to other virtual iteration of PTCG.

I watched gameplay video on YouTube for "Pokémon card game asobikata DS" and I wish there would be an actual PTCG game that would play like that, not just interactive tutorial in Japanese language.

I compared to PTCG Online as well, and while PTCG Live have significantly better UI, the overall controls and gameplay feels exact same to PTCG Online, which seems like wasted potential to me.

I'm curious about other players opinions on ideas of having actual damage counters of 10, 50 and 100 value being placed on cards rather than just one counter with stacking number, player input to flick the finger or cursor across the screen in order to flip the coin or tap/click the deck to draw the card, cards of the came name to not stack in hand or being able to scroll through the entire deck when searching for support or pokémon card, to find out whether you have specific card in deck or prize pool, rather than just the filtered selection of cards possible to draw at that moment.

Do players prefer this simplified version, or would like to see game elements that would make PTCG Live more akin to real PTCG play?

*cards of the same name to not stack in hand*

Is there no way to edit post in case you overlook some typo?

Every post need to be approved before being displayed on discussions, but there is nothing that would let you know about the typo if it's actual word and thus not underlined with a tilde, even though it does not make any sense in the full sentence.

Nonetheless, I would like to know the opinion of other players, whether it would be better or not if the PTCG Live controls and game play would behave more like real PTCG play.

I think it should be optional in setting whether you would like to display separate classic round 10/50/100 counters or dice with numbers, same for manual input on card draw, coin flip, as well as the option whether the game would display full deck when scrolling through to find card to draw, or make it simple by displaying only the card you can draw at that moment.

My opinion is that you're a psychopath.

being able to scroll through the entire deck when searching for support or pokémon card, to find out whether you have specific card in deck or prize pool, rather than just the filtered selection of cards possible to draw at that moment.

You can already do this. There's an "all" option at the top of the screen.

@TechHog So you are psychiatrist huh?

Have you made such diagnosis based those few sentences where I express my opinion that PTCG Live could have toggle option to make the video game more authentic to real experience, or you have been studying my personality for longer time? 🤨

I do admit though that as an introvert and socially awkward person with lack of self-confidence, I prefer to interact with others via social media rather than in person.

I get your point that collecting actual cards and playing PTCG with real people is better idea than making virtual experience more authentic.

As for the "all" option, it's so unremarkable that I've never noticed it's presence. Anyway, thanks for pointing that out.
