Gardevoir ex's weakness to dark types makes no sense

So in the video game Gardeovoir is a dual Psychic / Fairy type and as such takes neutral damage. However in the card game they decided to make it weak to Dark types which to me makes no sense considering the previous Gardevoirs that were made are all weak to Metal types which makes sense since Metal is 2x effective against Fairy and is neutral against Psychic. I have no idea why they decided this.

I guess it’s because it’s a Psychic type on the card, instead of being a Fairy Type on the card…no honestly you’re right it makes absolutely no sense.

A little late to the topic, but Darkness in TCG includes Dark-type and Poison-type, the latter being Gardevoir's weakness.

Yeah that’s true. My guess is because Gardevoir ex is very Psychic (its ability is only for psychic energy), if fairy still existed in the game the ex would still be a psychic type, so its weakness would be dark
