Hello everyone.
The Pokémon TCG Live game client will be updated on August 8th. The game will be offline starting at 8 AM PDT(15:00 PM UTC) and is estimated to be down for 8 hours. Please see below for the list of changes:
NOTE: With this update, all Windows and macOS devices are prompted to download and reinstall the app from the Pokemon.com/TCGL site. Future releases should prompt players to update utilizing the game's patcher as expected. If you're experiencing any issues after the update, uninstall and reinstall the client or reach out to our Support Team.
Features
- Added support for the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Obsidian Flames expansion.
- The mobile game client now uses the full card image for all Pokémon and Stadium cards in play, rather than a condensed version of the card.
- Updated the UI visuals when displaying three or more attached Pokémon Tool cards.
- Added an empty Energy icon for attacks that have a zero Energy cost.
Cards
- Espeon VMAX (EVS #065): Fixed an issue where the Solar Revelation Ability did not prevent damage from retaliation attack effects.
- Claydol (CES #79): Fixed an issue with the Miraculous Spin attack where it did not count the number of Steven's Resolve (CES #145) cards in the discard pile.
- Oranguru (BSP #SM13): Fixed an issue where the Instruct Ability could be used from the discard pile.
- Shedinja (LOT #95): Fixed an issue where using the Vessel of Life Ability did not discard attached cards.
Code Card Redemption
- Fixed an issue that prevented a booster pack from opening if cards received from that pack would include a parallel foil Basic Energy card.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the game client from opening any Build & Battle Box product that had been added to a player's collection via code card redemption on the Pokémon TCG Live website.
- Fixed a rare issue where no rewards were given when redeeming a code from a Series Two Play! Pokémon Prize Pack.
Deck Manager/Editor
- Fixed an issue where Credits could not be exchanged to obtain Pokémon V-UNION.
- Fixed an issue where players could not exchange Credits for more than four parallel foil Basic Energy cards.
Gameplay/Battle
- Fixed an issue where Cheryl (BST #123) would discard all Energy from an Evolution Pokémon that had already been fully healed by a different effect during the same turn.
- Fixed an issue that caused some sound effects for Metal-type Pokémon to always be played at maximum volume, including when sound effects were turned off in the Settings menu.
Shop
- Fixed an issue where hyper rare Basic Energy cards were not part of the possible card pool when opening booster packs.
- Fixed an issue in the shop where the "no cards to display" error message was displayed in English regardless of the game's language setting.
