Many other and I really had hopes that things would change with a new era. The OST being kept, less/no censorship, maybe official subs. But we see: The old pattern just continues. :/

The VAs being casted are great, big names among them, but that ontop all those unnecessary edits which take a bunch of its orginal quality. The preview so far has 100% of the JP OST removed and being replaced with unfitting and partially too loud distracting cartoonized stuff.

It is really disappointing. The anime is for a big part still being treated as in the 90s. Why...? It's not like there is a lack of money to license everything in the west and to also make a translated version of the vocal tracks. It's also ignorant towards all the artists who workes on the original OST.

I don't understand why they would edit the Japan OST out of Horizons. If the Pokemon company got the permission to use the OSTs, that means they can use it no matter what language it is right? I mean, they even edited the Journey's Openings, which makes no sense since anime openings never get edited when they get dubbed. If Netflix has the time to fix the OSTs and OPs, they should have enough time to release the dub quicker than wait until the next season of the anime starts to release the previous season.

You have to realize that Pokemon's audience in the west consist mainly of young children and their parents, not anime watchers. They have to do this in order to appeal to their audience and to maximize its global reach and potential (and Pokemon is the biggest of all time). It's not "censorship" or "ignorant" to localize something for us to see here in an easily understandable form.

That doesn't explain why they have to change the instrumental music. If you go back and watch the 4kids dub, they actually kept a lot of tracks from the original Japanese dub. What precisely is the point of replacing the instrumental soundtrack that already exists with music that sounds worse?
