Anyone have any tips about Pokémon Go?

I am about to get a phone soon and download Pokémon Go. Is there anything I should know before starting?

    Ill try to help-

    1. (Berries) Pinap berries give extra candy's, Razz berries make a Pokemon easier to catch, Nanab berries make a Pokemon stop moving.
    2. !NEVER! purify a shadow Pokemon. shadow Pokemon are SO much stronger if they stay as shadow and not get purified
    3. try to learn how to curve ball throw because it has a higher chance of catching a Pokemon
    4. log on daily. each day you will get a daily incense that you can use to catch different kinds of Pokemon (including the galarian birds). you also want to complete daily field research for nice rewards
