Out of all the Gym Leaders in Pokemon, which did you despise the most and why?

I personally might say Clair. Never played the Johto games but I've seen what happens. You beat the final gym leader, who uses one of the most difficult-to-counter types in the game, and what does she do? Refuse to acknowledge that you bested her until you do another test.

Gold and Silver made her seem not as bad, but her dialogue in HeartGold and SoulSilver makes it clear that she was just being arrogant and didn't want to hand you the badge.
