I want to participate in the French regionals for Pokémon TCG. It will be my first time playing in such a big event. What do I need in order to participate and play, based on previous events?

    If you're looking to attend Lille you'll want to watch out for the RK9 registration, which will probably go out in the coming months. Expect for registration to fill up VERY quickly, meaning you'll want to be ready on the website as soon as it drops. You can watch out for registration dates using RK9's twitter account which I'd suggest you follow. Aside from registration, you'll need to submit your decklist on the website and have everything needed to play. I'm not a TCG player, but I believe it's just dice, a playmat, deckbox, sleeves, and of course the deck matched exactly to your list. You'd then check in either the day before or day of the event (it differs by event but day of is generally available at every tournament). I believe this covers everything, but the VGC Guide website also has some great packing tips (targeted at VGC, but also applicable).
