Is this a good card

My son bought a pack of cards from Target and got a card named Mega Rayquaza and the guy offered us $50 for it.

Was that a good deal? He is 7 years old and I have no idea about Pokemon at all he just started a couple of months ago. I don't understand anything about it so I found this for him and I'm asking you guys for some help.

    It depends on the exact version your son pulled... if it's the standard Double Rare version it's a good deal... but if it's a Special Illustration rare or a Hyper/Secret rare version it isn't a good deal at all.

    Also, if you do a simple search on Mega Rayquaza ex rarities, you will see which rarity you've got.
