Alola Palalas,
I was born on a small island on Alola. When Pokémon found me I was slightly older than Ash and 30 years later I’m still trying to catch em all. Various mons hold a special place, being able to relate to a story (Charmander,Froakie) due to your own life experiences was the therapy little/older me needed. Due to some Team Rocket destruction, life had a reboot and it was Pokémon again that provided a way out. From video games to anime and manga, to TCG it was Pokémon that expanded my horizons and opened all new words, all while providing the comfort of home.
