Game won't allow me to move past language select screen

Upon first booting up the game, after selecting any language, it will progress onto a blank gray screen and stays like that for about 20 seconds and then kicks me back onto the language select screen. It does this regardless of what language I choose or if I restart the game or my computer. Reinstalling also did nothing to fix the issue.
