6 = major threshold. 12 = Severe Threshold. 10 incoming damage meets or beats your Major Threshold for -2 HP. Your Armor has an Armor score of 3, meaning you can reduce damage up to 3 times(once per source of damage). Since you rolled with Fear on Enrapture, it left you open to the Powder Snow attack. Can't mitigate this source so -2 HP.
Katara isn't waiting on her laurels for the Longbow so she unleashes her Unleash Chaos spell at Catsuki. Another 8 Magic damage coming your way(marks a Stress to replenish the spell for future use). This magic damage you can reduce to Minor.

Yeah you can mitigate and attack again but what was the damage of your Longbow attack? Katara has to mitigate it but can't because she doesn't know how much she's dealing with 🤣🤷😇

There's no rolling for damage mitigation. Your Armor has set thresholds and your character level adds +1 to them. Gambeson is 5/11 so it's 6/12 with character level bonus. Your Armor has an Armor score of 3 or the number of times you can use it to mitigate damage. Mitigation reduces damage by one threshold(Severe to Major, Major to Minor or Minor to nothing).
The Ice damage you can't mitigate due to circumstances but the Magic damage you can.

lol a net. I don't think you have a net on you. You can try tying up someone with a rope that all adventurers start with.

Yeah you can mitigate that but no need to roll for that. Reduces that to Minor. Feel free to counter-strike. Oso is enamored with you but attacking him breaks it while Katara braces for retaliation.
