The premise is simple—each expansion has Missions, which are a new set of goals for you to achieve by collecting unique groups of cards from a specific expansion set, often tied together in fun themes. Once you collect those cards, you’ll be able to complete their related Missions to earn valuable rewards. You can use those rewards to collect more cards…which lets you complete more Missions…which lets you collect more cards…and complete more Missions…we think you get it.
Rewards available for completing Missions can range from currency and booster packs to more unique items like deck accessories!
The first expansion with tailored Missions will be Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration, which just so happens to release today, September 15, 2026, in Pokémon TCG Live! This expansion includes a dozen Missions ranging from Easy to Extra Hard in difficulty, helping to keep you motivated to collect all the new cards as you celebrate 30 years of Pokémon.
But that’s not all. Every past expansion supported in Pokémon TCG Live, from Black & White to Mega Evolution—Pitch Black, will retroactively receive at least two Missions you can complete for rewards.
