Mewtwo-Y mega evolve bug

Recently after the new update I participated in a ranked match where my Mewtwo-Y didn't mega evolve in the last 6 minutes of the game and the Mega gauge remained at full for straight 6 minutes. Does anyone encountered this bug ??

    Yes, i just got literally the same bug as yours. I wonder what is the trigger🤔?

    My friend has been having the same issue where out of no where mewtwo y and x mega was unable to mega evolve, the gauge just reaches max and does nothing. Once it happens you can't mega evolve, this seems to happen regardless of time.
