I have literally NEVER played Pokémon Masters EX. Would you recommend it?

I've wanted the game for a long time but it takes up a whole lot of space…

My current device might be able to handle it but I want to know if it would be worth it despite never playing before and missing a lot of events

Thanks in advance

    I downloaded Masters!

    Blue was so adorable!

He's an adult now yet still feels like a child!

    It's kinda weird...

    But still adorable

Red's Sync attack having "Legendary" in the name made me laugh

I didn't laugh as much as I did when the Professor randomly said "Oui oui" though!

    Tomboyish Mermaid...

Who in the world ever called Misty that?

I chose the Charmander Egg (of course)

I'm Izzy and female (as always) and I'm just so cute!

I love this game's art style!

How much will I feel like I'm missing since I'm brand new with no progress and missed so many events?

the anniversary event is coming up, so if you don’t plan on downloading the entire internet archive to your device, you might as well get it. they’ll love-bomb you with free money when you join as well 👍

In principle I liked the concept of interacting and battling with the human characters of Pokémon, not just the Pokémon, but I strongly dislike gatcha games. It seems pretty grindy and money grubby to me, but I guess everyone has their own tolerance for it.

The one in the games is actually teen Blue, from the Johto/Unova games.

This is him as an adult

The only things you've missed permanently are Jessie and James and Ash. Everything else reruns once in a while.

    Ah, okay

    (That's an untitled image, btw)

You started playing the game 6 years too late to get him (I have both him and Jessie! I couldn't get Ash, though). Also, how far have you gotten?

I haven't had time to get past talking to the French Professor

I would recommend Pokémon Masters EX, especially if you are a fan of the human Pokémon characters and their lore. One of my favorite things about the game is how many of my favorite Pokémon are playable, especially with Pokémon like Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom being represented through different Sync Pairs.

However, I will admit, I am guilty of spending quite a bit on the game just to get some of my favorite characters, but you absolutely do not have to spend money to enjoy it. The game is free-to-start, and you can earn Gems, tickets, and other rewards through events, missions, or login bonuses.
