Pokemon Legends: Lamonica chapter thirty-one

Chapter 31:

The group had just made it to Mt. Coronet, when Izzy said, “I need a break.” “Alright,” Quom said, “We can stop here.” After Izzy sat down, Bella came over and said, “You ready for the next gym?” Before Izzy could reply, a woman in a black coat walked up to them and said, “Well, hello. What are you all doing out here in the cold?” “We were heading to Snowpoint City,” Shiroboshi says to the woman, “Good to see you, Cynthia.” “Shiroboshi,” Cynthia said, “Long time no see. How are you?” “Good,” Shiroboshi said, “Look, we needed to talk to you.” “Alright,” Cynthia said, “Let’s get out of the cold first.”

After the group had made it to a warmer location, in a cave in the mountain, Cynthia said, “What is it?” “Giratina,” Shiroboshi said, “He’s trying to destroy Arceus. Again.” Cynthia sighed with annoyance and said, “I can’t help much, but I can get you supplies and some info. You’ll have to come with me to Sandgem Town.” “Alright,” Shiroboshi said, “What do you guys think?” “Sure,” Quom said, “Any objections?” Nobody said anything, so Quom continued, “We’ll come Cynthia.” “Alright,” Cynthia said, “That settles it. Are you ready?” Everyone nodded, so Cynthia led them out of the cave and to the foot of the mountain.

“We have to cross to the other side,” Cynthia said, “Are you sure you want to do this?” “Yes,” Shiroboshi said, “Let’s do it.” “Do you have a faster way to get over?” Izzy asked, “I don’t think I can make it across the entire mountain.” “Of course,” Cynthia said, “You can ride my Garchomp.” After Cynthia’s Garchomp was sent out and Izzy had hopped on, Shiroboshi said, “Let’s go! Come one!” “Alright, alright,” Cynthia said, “You need to calm down Shiroboshi. Maybe a battle?” “Yeah!” Shiroboshi said, “Let’s do it!”

“Go, Spiritomb,” Cynthia said, as Shiroboshi said, “Go, Ceruledge!” “Predictable,” Cynthia said, “Spiritomb, use Dark Pulse!” “Dodge it!” Shiroboshi commanded, “Then, use Shadow Ball!” After Shiroboshi’s Ceruledge quickly dodged, it struck with a Shadow Ball, quickly connecting and knocking out Spiritomb. “Huh,” Cynthia said, withdrawing her Spiritomb and replacing it with Milotic and quickly shouting, “Hydro Pump!” “Dodge it!” Shiroboshi shouted, withdrawing Ceruledge as soon as the dodge was successful, quickly switching in Venusaur, “Go, Saur!”

Venusaur and Milotic were facing off, when Venusaur lunged, with the command from Shiroboshi, “Bullet Seed!” The attack landed once, making Milotic stagger, then a second time, knocking it back, and then landing one final time, making Milotic fall, but not faint. “You think it’s that easy?” Cynthia asked, “Blizzard.” The Ice type attack went straight for Shiroboshi’s Venusaur, but it was proved to be quite the bulky Pokémon, brushing off the attack. “Vine Whip!” Shiroboshi commanded, “Then, back up!” Shiroboshi’s Venusaur did exactly as he said, landing, causing Cynthia’s Milotic to faint.
