You still have to follow the plot of the game and become champion and what not, but you're no longer restricted to the dialog options and limits of the map

First thing on my list is walk through the Wooloo in SwSh after getting my starter

Second I would make sure to INSULT THE FIRE out of Klara

Third is gas-light Kieran

I would also give Larry and Piers a big hug

I have to become champion. I can take as long as I want before doing that, but it has to happen. Therefore, nothing seriously bad can happen to me until that point since I must fulfill destiny. As such, I can spend as much as time as possible conquering the Pokemon world as an immortal demigod.
