Version 1.41.0 - Patch Notes
Hello Trainers,
The Pokémon TCG Live game client will be updated on August 18, 2026, and the game will be offline for approximately eight hours starting at 8:00 a.m. PDT (15:00 UTC).
The Code Card Redemption Website will also be offline during the above maintenance window, from 15:30 ~ 17:30 (UTC). During this period, code card redemption via the website will be unavailable.
There will be a separate period of brief downtime on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, while necessary Pokémon Trainer Central services updates are performed. Pokémon TCG Live is expected to be offline for approximately two hours starting at 9:30 a.m. PDT (15:00 UTC), during which time players will unable to login to or access the game.

Bug Fixes
Gameplay/Battle
- Fixed an issue in Build & Battle where the red format restriction icon did not display explanatory text when selected.
- Fixed an issue where effects that activate when a Pokémon takes damage from an opponent’s attack would still activate after the Pokémon was devolved by an effect of that attack.
- Fixed an issue where the lighting for avatars was darker than intended on some screens.
Cards
- Fixed an issue where a Prize card selected after using Mr. Mime’s[ML1] (DET #011) Pantomime Ability remained face-down instead of being revealed.
- Fixed an issue where Salvatore (TEF #160) could be played when there wasn't a Pokémon in play that could evolve.
- Fixed an issue where Munkidori’s (TWM #095) Adrena-Brain Ability allowed the player to select a Pokémon without damage counters as the Pokémon to move damage counters from.
- Fixed an issue where Dhelmise’s (MEP #084) Vengeful Anchor attack ignored effects that remove Abilities from Pokémon in the discard pile.
- Fixed an issue where Slowpoke’s (MEP #086) Dopey Face Ability could fail to remove Confusion.
- Fixed an issue where Telepathic Psychic Energy (POR #088) could remain floating above the game board after being viewed in Big Card View.
- Fixed an issue where Toxapex-GX’s (GRI #057) Super Intense Poison attack could apply Poison that was not removed by effects such as Festival Grounds (TWM #149).
- Fixed an issue where Smeargle’s (PFL #080) Energizing Sketch attack required the player to attach at least one Basic Energy card when valid targets were available.
- Fixed an issue where Mega Diancie ex’s (PFL #041) Garland Ray attack required the player to discard at least one Energy card.
- Fixed an issue where Mega Lucario ex’s (MEG #077) Aura Jab attack required the player to attach at least one Basic Fighting Energy card when valid targets were available.
- Fixed an issue where Magnezone’s (MEG #047) Flashing Bolt attack could not be used after Magnezone moved from the Active Spot to the Bench and then back to the Active Spot.
- Fixed an issue where Zacian ex’s[ML2] (SVP #198) Slashing Strike attack could be used during the player’s next turn without first being moved to the Bench and then back to the Active Spot.
General
- Fixed an issue where a code card redemption failure during a specific category of redemption service disruption could cause all the player’s future redemption attempts for that same product to fail.
- Fixed an issue where receiving a gift could cause the active deck to appear invalid.
- Various other fixes and polish.
