Could Ash beat Volo from Pokemon Legends: Arceus?

Since Ash took down the most feared Champion in history, Cynthia, could he beat her ancestor Volo?

To make things fair, let's assume Ash is using his Sinnoh team since we're in Hissui/Past Sinnoh.

Does Ash stand a chance, or is he getting the Paul treatment?

I do think Volo would win in normal circumstances, but Ash having the Infernape he does is what gives the boy the win

I didn't watch the Sinnoh show, but Volo cheats, so I don't think Ash's odds are great. Unless he could use Pokemon from other regions… Ash Greninja could stand a decent chance.

He uses 8 Pokémon and the player can't. Regardless of difficulty, that's kind of cheating.

Giratina only counts as one, it's just healing and changing forms. Besides, I think that it's more of three battles.

And the way Giratina heals and form changes practically makes it a new Pokémon

Then it's still more than we can have, and he revives a Pokémon after he's already lost (all Pokémon fainted, and if that happens to us we just lose and have to restart)
