Chapter 21:

Shiroboshi was in a face-off against Siege, staring at Siege’s Mega Metagross and wondering if he could win. “Well, looks like I have the disadvantage,” Shiroboshi said, “But I’ll still win.” Siege just smirked, “We’ll see. Metagross, use Meteor Mash!” “Dodge it!” Shiroboshi shouted, “Then use Shadow Ball!” With a neat dodge, Shiroboshi’s Gardevoir moved into an attack with Shadow Ball, just barely hitting Metagross. The Metagross staggered and Siege laughed, “You think it’s that easy? Nah. Metagross, use another Meteor Mash!” The Meteor Mash, connecting this time, hurts Shiroboshi’s Gardevoir to the point it’s about to faint. “Come back Gardevoir, you’ve done well,” Shiroboshi said.

Siege was watching as Shiroboshi considered who to send out next, when he finally said, “Go, Ceruledge.” Siege smiled and said, “Metagross, quick, use Earthquake!” Ceruledge frantically hopped in the air, then hopping on the cracks until Metagross’s attack was done, though still taking decent damage. “Argh,” Shiroboshi said, clearly annoyed, “Let’s try again! Use Bitter Blade!” The attack connected neatly, doing decent damage, with Siege saying, “Metagross, come back, you’ve done your part.”

Shiroboshi watched as Siege quickly switched from Metagross and into Primarina. “You thought I was going to leave Ceruledge out?” Shiroboshi asked as he returned Ceruledge and said, “Go Tyranitar!” Siege just smiled as he said, “You should have gone with Venusaur. Now Primarina, use Disarming Voice!” The super effective attack quickly connected, knocking out and making quick work of Tyranitar. “Wow,” Shiroboshi said in utter amazement, “Just wow.” “If this were a full battle, you would have definitely won,” Siege said, “But nonetheless, that means I get the bed.” Shiroboshi sighed and said, “Best of three?” Siege just laughed, “Come on, we should get back.”

Bella heard the door opening and went out to check, saying, “Who won?” “Me,” Siege replied happily. Bella looked at him in shock, “You won? Really?” “Yep,” Shiroboshi said, “Really. How’s Izzy doing?” “She’s resting,” Bella replied, “You two probably also need some rest.” “Yeah,” Shiroboshi and Siege said. “I’ll grab a mat for you, Shiroboshi,” Bella said. As she grabbed the mat, she thought about how Siege would have won, eventually coming to the conclusion that the training had paid off. Bella then walked back to the others with a mat for Shiroboshi to sleep on.
