Chapter 18:

Siege was scared once again when a wild Staraptor swooped down. Bella had him send out his Beldum against it, though he was almost immediately defeated, so Bella stepped in with her Alolan Ninetales to defeat it. After the Staraptor was defeated, Beldum evolved into a Metang, just like how Popplio had evolved into a Brionne. “Come on, let’s keep going,” Bella said. They soon reached the gates, and Bella said, “Pretty simple to open. They just need two people.” Siege and Bella walked up and grabbed the gate doors, opening them and walking through.

Siege and Bella had been in the training course for about a week now and Siege was extremely tired. “Are we almost done yet?” Siege asked. “I think so,” Bella responded, “But it depends on if you can beat. After all, that’s your final test.” “Alright,” Siege said, looking through his Pokémon for his best choice as Bella sent out her Alolan Ninetales. Siege quickly decided upon his Metagross, who had evolved within the last few days. “Good choice,” Bella said, “But I’ll still beat you.” “Nah,” Siege said, “This is a first knockout wins battle, right?” “Yep,” Bella responded. “Good, Metagross, use Meteor Mash!” Siege shouted. “Aurora Veil!” Bella shouted. Right before the Meteor Mash hit, the Aurora Veil came in, halving the damage. “You didn’t think it would be that easy, did you?” Bella asked, withdrawing Ninetales as she said, “Come back Nine. Go, Silvia!”

“Alright,” Siege said, withdrawing his Pokémon as well, “Go, Metalleon!” While they were in the training course, Bella had found a Metal Alloy and told Siege to use it on his Eevee. The Metal Alloy evolved his Eevee into a Metalleon, which was shaped like other Eeveelutions, with razor-shaped ears, in a metallic silver color. “Use Silver Bullet,” Siege exclaimed, excitedly, “How about that Bella?” “Not bad,” she replied, “But remember, Aurora Veil.” As she said this, she smiled and laughed when Siege said, “Oh darn it. Free pass?” “Not this time,” she replied as the attack connected, but it did more than she expected. “What?” She asked, with Siege replying, “It’s his signature move, it’s a little better than his others.”

Quorom was walking through the halls of his palace, thinking about his battles with Quom and Shade, when he got a splitting headache. “Aaaaagh!” Quorom shouted in pain when he suddenly saw a vision of Arceus’s counsel. “What is happening in the mortal world?” Arceus asked. “The heroes are working to stop Giratina, my lord,” Dialga replied. “I think that they are having good luck thus far,” Palkia said, “I am unable to interfere though.” “Yes, I understand,” Arceus said, “And Dialga, tell me, will they succeed?” Dialga began to speak, but before he could hear the answer, Quorom was wrenched back to the present, with Giratina saying, “Where were you, Quorom?” “I saw a vision of Arceus’s counsel,” Quorom said to Giratina. The two then walked away, towards the throne room.
