Chapter 13:

The trainers were coming upon a small town, which Quom had said was called Jubilife when Quom said, “Stop.” “Why?” Inquired Shiroboshi. “I think I see something,” Quom replied, but as she said this, a bright red light appeared and when it was gone, they were separated. “Izzy?” Shiroboshi asked, her name being the first one to come to mind. “I’m here,” she replied, “Where are the others?” “They are dealing with someone else,” came a voice from above. “Who are you?” Shiroboshi called up. “I am Jeremy Long,” the voice said as a figure descended a set of stairs, he wore a black bomber jacket, black jeans, a black shirt, and crystal amulets that Shiroboshi couldn’t quite make out. “How do you do?” Jeremy asked. “I’m okay,” Shiroboshi and Izzy said in sync, looking at each other in surprise. Pointing at them subsequently Jeremy said, “You’re Shiroboshi and you’re Izzy, right?” “Yeah,” they both said in unison, “So how do we get out of here?”

Siege looked around at their new surroundings. He and Bella had been dropped, very unceremoniously on top of each other in a dark room that looked like the Distortion World. “Are we where I think we are?” Bella asked. “Yes, welcome to the Distortion World,” came Giratina’s voice, “Give me the Pikachu, NOW!!!” “No,” Siege said, nervous. “Siege, are you alright?” Bella asked, “You’re sprouting wings.” Indeed, Siege was, he was sprouting demonic wings, with a red katana at his side in its sheath. Siege took out the sword and lunged at Giratina.

Quom and Shade were trapped in a strange place; it looked like Newmoon Island. “Are we back here again?” Shade asked. “Yes, welcome back to Newmoon Island,” came Quorom’s voice, “Fight me.” Quorom sent out his Latias and Latios, while Shade sent out Cresselia and Quom sent out Rayquaza. “Ray, use Dragon Ascent,” Quom instructed as Shade said, “Cresselia, use Moonlit Dream!” “Both of you, use Luster Purge!” Quorom shouted. Within the chaos, both of Quorom’s Pokémon avoided the attacks and then used their attacks, both missing.

Bella watched, terrified as Siege fought Giratina in meelee combat. Siege slashed with his sword, having what seemed to be completely natural talent. Giratina had a look of complete fear on his face, parrying attack after attack, until he backed far away saying, “I yield, I yield.” “Will you send us back to earth?” Siege asked. “Yes,” Giratina responded, opening a portal for them, “That will take you to where you were before I separated you.” After thanking him, Siege and Bella head through the portal, appearing right outside Jubilife Village.

Quom and Shade had just knocked out Quorom’s first Pokémon, but he wasn’t done yet, saying, “Go, Zygarde, Urishifu.” When Quorom sent out these Pokémon, he quickly made a gesture, mega evolving his Zygarde and Gigantamaxing his Urishifu. Zygarde’s mega evolution though, looked different than normal, having an x, y, and z on its chest, a tall figure, it had a cannon on each arm, with a cape draped across its back and red, green, and blue skin. “What is that?” Quom asked, with Shade responding, “Mega Zygarde Z. It has some unthinkable powers.”

Shiroboshi and Izzy were quite confused when Jeremy said, “The only way out is to complete the trials of the darkness. Otherwise, you will never be free.” “What is the first trial?” Shiroboshi and Izzy asked, in sync once more. “Well, you Shiroboshi and your girlfriend will have to defeat the darkness, with light,” Jeremy said with a chuckle. After speaking, Jeremy sent out a Hoopa. Both Izzy and Shiroboshi sent out Ceruledge grinning at each other and said, “Use Shadow Ball!” Shiroboshi’s Ceruledge’s Shadow Ball collides with the one from Izzy’s Ceruledge, quickly growing to an unbelievable size, connecting with Hoopa and instantly knocking it out. “Well, that was something,” Jeremy says, “But I’m not done yet.

Izzy was astonished by the pure power that she and Shiroboshi had managed to pull off when working together, it had instantly defeated Hoopa, a mythical Pokémon. While she was thinking, Jeremy sent out a Celebi saying, “I can't stop you with transportation, I’ll use time!” Izzy looked at Shiroboshi, and they said, “Bitter Blade!” The attacks almost connected with Celebi, but it quickly flew up, only to be targeted by another attack, knocking it out. 

“Go, Mew!” Jeremy said with a smile, “This is my last Pokémon for this battle.” As he said this, Jeremy sent out Mew, saying, “Use Transform!” After Mew used Transform, it became a battle between the Ceruledge’s, who lifted their arms and pointed at each other in shock. Quickly, the Pokémon recovered and launched at each other, using Night Slash. After being knocked back, the three Ceruledge’s looked at each other again, the Mew transforming back, with Jeremy saying, “Good job. I concede.” “What’s the second challenge?” Shiroboshi asked. “You’ll see,” Jeremy replied.

Quom and Shade had been defeated by Quorom five times, and they were on their sixth try, with Ray and Yveltal out against a shiny Mega Mewtwo Y and a Mega Latios. “Do you give up yet?” Quorom asked, “No? Fine. Mewtwo, use Psychic and Latios, use Luster Purge!” As the attacks land, Shade and Quom’s Pokémon are knocked out, with Shade sending out his final Pokémon; a Marshadow. “We’re not done with this battle yet!” Shade said, “Marshadow, use Soul Stealing Seven Star Strike!” As he said this, Shade did a dance with Marshadow to use the Z-move. The move landed on both of Quorom’s Pokémon, knocking them both out, but Quorom only laughed.

Siege and Bella had been waiting for five days for everyone else to come back, when they finally decided to go into Jubilife. “Are you ready?” Bella asked, thinking about how Siege seemed to be nervous about being alone with her. “Yep,” Siege replied, “What about you?” Bella wasn’t really listening, because she was thinking about how Siege had “transformed” when they were fighting Giratina. “Bella?” Siege asked, jolting her back to reality. “Yeah, I’m ready,” she said, “About what happened when we were fighting Giratina.” “Yeah?” Siege responded, with Bella saying, “I know why that happened. It’s because your from the Makanoff bloodline.” “What’s so special about the Makanoffs?” Siege asked. 

“The Makanoffs are the original royal lineage of Lamonica. You are the direct descendant of the last Makanoff king; Kang. Kang’s right-hand man to his throne was Shang Shiroboshi,” Bella said, “Shang was strong, eventually dueling Kang for the Lamonican throne. Shang won the duel, claiming the throne. Eventually the Makanoffs moved out of Lamonica and to Unova. That’s why you're from Unova. The Makanoff lineage has had this special power to change form for thousands of years. Some turn into an angel, some into a demon, some both, and some a third form along with the other two.” “Okay then,” Siege said, “Let’s go.”
