Chapter 10:

Izzy was shell-shocked; her village was gone. She may not have liked anyone there, but she was still shocked. “My village,” she said, not realizing, that she said it aloud. “This is where you’re from?” Quom asked. “Yeah,” Izzy said, “I didn’t want to come here, but my desire wasn’t that bad not to see anyone.” “We’ll find out what happened,” Quom said, “There’s a mark on the ground. It’s Giratina’s mark.” As she said this, Quom’s face paled. “I knew he had to be stopped soon,” Shade said, “We have to stop him, he’ll head to Jubilife next.” “Yeah,” Shiroboshi agreed, “I know the champion; Cynthia.” “Really?” Izzy asks, Shiroboshi responding with, “Yeah, a lot of people came to visit Mr. Pryce in Mahogony Town, Cynthia being one of them.” “Well, let’s find her,” Quom said, “Where do you think she’ll be?” “This time of year, probably defending her title as champion,” Shiroboshi said, “The only way to get near her is by fighting the Elite Four.” “We need gym badges for that,” Quom said. “I wanted to get them all anyways,” Shiroboshi replied, “But I’ve already got about five of them.” “Okay,” Izzy said, “Which ones are you missing?” “I’m missing, lets see,” Shiroboshi says, “The Mine Badge, the Icicle Badge, and the Beacon Badge.” “Canalave City first then,” says Quom.

Shiroboshi was walking with the others, when Quom asked, “What was it like, growing up with a gym leader?” “Well, I always go to battle other gym leaders. I got to battle champions, and Elite Four members,” Shiroboshi replied, “What about you? What’s up with you and Shade?” “Oh... umm,” Quom stuttered, “Well, I kind of, fell in love with him. Later, he broke my heart, but he was trying to protect me. We’ve moved past all that by now. What about you, I’ve seen the way you look at Izzy sometimes.” Shiroboshi gulped and said, “Um, I’ve got to go, catch up with Siege. He’s my long-lost cousin after all.” Quom laughed and said, “Go ahead, I won’t pressure you. You can tell me when you're ready.”

Shiroboshi walked over to Siege and said, “Hey. What’s between you and Bella?” Siege’s face turned bright red as he said, “Nothing! I totally don’t have a crush on her.” shiroboshi laughed, as Bella called back, “What’s so funny?” Siege, turning red, replied, “Nothing! Nothing!” “Well, you’re way too obvious,” Shiroboshi said, with Siege responding, “Keep your voice down.” “Why?” Shiroboshi wonders, “In fact, Bella!” “What?” Bella replied. “Siege has,” Shiroboshi started to say, but was abruptly cut off when Siege put a hand over his mouth saying, “Nothing!” Bella turned away, utterly confused, and kept walking. “What are you doing?” Siege asked. “Telling her you like her,” Shiroboshi replies, “I almost succeeded, why’d you stop me?” “Because I don’t want her to know yet,” Siege replied in a whispered tone. “Anyways, what do you think about fighting Giratina?” Asked Shiroboshi. “I don’t know,” Siege replied, “I suppose I’ll have to be the one to confront him, because of Peaky though.” “Yeah,” Shiroboshi said. Then, Quom called back, “Let’s make camp here for the night and finish the journey tomorrow.” “Alright,” everyone said.
