Chapter 9:

Quom was just returning with the others from finding supplies, when she heard conversation coming from Izzy’s tent. “Izzy must be awake,” she said, “I’ll go check on them.” Quom, entering the room noticed that they were not arguing or fighting, but instead having a completely normal conversation. “So, you came from Karn?” Shiroboshi asked, “That’s why you flinched when Quom said its name?” “Yeah,” Izzy replied. “How are you doing?” Quom asked. “Good,” Izzy said, “Shiroboshi says I should be able to get up soon.” “That’s good to hear,” Quom replied, “We’re ready to head to Karn.”

After Shiroboshi said that Izzy was allowed to get up, they set off for Karn with Shiroboshi starting up a conversation, “So, what’s everyone's goal here? I’ll start. I just want to stop my father and find my family. You next, Shade.” “I want to defeat Giratina, I plan to go about that with Darkrai’s help,” Shade said, “Whenever I get close to Giratina though, a red light stops me from defeating him. Quom, how about you?” “I want to defeat Quorom, and make sure he will never ever return,” Quom stated turning to Siege, “How about you Siege?” “Um, stay away from Quorom, so he doesn’t get Peaky, my Pikachu,” Siege said, “Bella?” “I just want to make sure that Siege doesn't get hurt, “What about you Izzy?” “Um, to gain Giratina, as my Pokémon and use him,” Izzy replied. “Well, that’s everyone,” Shiroboshi says, “How far away are we?” “About half a day,” Quom says.

Shade is thinking about the prophecy of the Destruction of Arceus. This is the prophecy in which Siege’s Pikachu is foretold, but there is more to it. The words come back to Shade’s memory, ‘Three trainers and one Pokémon shall approach Giratina, two trainers of Giratina’s blood, and one who has an interest in one of Giratina’s blood. This Pikachu, shall determine the fate of the world, for it shall choose, whether to aid Giratina in destroying Arceus, or to destroy Giratina instead.’ This prophecy had been in Shade’s head ever since the day on Newmoon Island. He had considered many times of telling Quom the prophecy, but then he remembered that day. 

Shade was on Newmoon Island, staring up at Giratina, Darkrai at his side. “Are you sure you want to fight me Shade?” Asked Giratina. “Yes,” Shade replied, “Darkrai, are you ready?” Darkrai nodded. “What if I told you the prophecy of how this will all end?” Giratina asked. Shade paused asking, “What prophecy?” “This one,” Giratina said, “Three trainers and one Pokémon shall approach Giratina, two trainers of Giratina’s blood, and one who has an interest in one of Giratina’s blood. This Pikachu shall determine the fate of the world, for it shall choose whether to aid Giratina in destroying Arceus, or to destroy Giratina instead. Does that change your mind?” “No,” Shade said, “Even if I know it won’t end here, I still want to try. Now, Darkrai, mega evolve! Use Abyss Eye!” The move commanded by Shade created a black hole, beginning to suck Giratina in and then suddenly, a red light appeared. The red light was sucked into the black hole and then it vanished. “See?” Giratina asked, “It doesn’t end here. Now leave.” As Giratina said this, he opened a portal under Shade and Shade woke up. “We’re here,” Quom said, but when Shade looked down at Karn, it was all burnt to the ground.
