Pokemon Legends: Lamonica chapter 2

This is the second full chapter of my pokemon fanfic, enjoy! :)

Chapter 2:

Izzy was locked in a fierce battle, facing the choice of her next Pokémon, having to choose one of five. Izzy quickly decided upon her best choice saying, “Go, Char!” Suddenly Shiroboshi smirked, confusing Izzy as he said, “Come back Ledge, you’ve done well. Go, Tyranitar!” Izzy quickly realized that she was outmatched by Shiroboshi’s quick wit and amazing battle skills, but that wouldn’t stop her from trying anyway. “Char, use Dragon Claw!” Izzy shouts, as Shiroboshi says, “Tar, go for it! Power Gem!” As Char gets close, landing the Dragon Claw Tar’s Power Gem lands close up, as a critical hit. While Char is nearly fainted, he is still conscious. “Go, Char! Use Flare Blitz!” Izzy shouts, causing Char to rush at Tar, knocking out both Pokémon. Both trainers prepare to send out their next Pokémon, Izzy saying, “Go, Quaquavel!” While Shiroboshi says, “It’s your turn, go Armourouge!” The two Pokémon stare each other down and then rush at each other, when their trainers give them their commands, with Izzy saying, “Aqua Jet!” And Shiroboshi saying, “Psychic!” The two Pokémon collide their attacks each connecting, causing them both to faint.

Shiroboshi quickly brings Armourouge back, watching Izzy as she returns her Quaquavel. “Go, Infernape,” says Izzy, calmly as Shiroboshi excitedly says, “Go Ceruledge!” “You sent your Ceruledge back out?” Izzy asks, confused. “Yeah, it seemed like my best bet right now,” Shiroboshi replies, “But I don’t care if I win or lose, I’m just battling for the fun of it!” As he says this, Shiroboshi motions to Ceruledge to charge up Shadow Ball. As Ceruledge does this, Izzy says, “While that may be so, I still want to win. Now, Infernape, use Raging Fury!” As Infernape Attacks, The Shadow Ball from Ceruledge connects, causing massive damage, but Infernape’s attack doesn’t stop. As Infernape connects, it takes recoil damage, knocking both Pokémon out.  

Shiroboshi prepares his next Pokémon, as Izzy quickly sends out her Hisuian Zoroark. “Fine, I suppose,” says Shiroboshi with a sigh, “Go Venusaur!” Izzy looks at the Venusaur, startled at his choice saying, “That’s the best you’ve got?” “No, but I can’t send out my ace yet,” Shiroboshi replies, calmly, “Now, Saur, use Vine Whip!” The Vine Whip knock Izzy’s Zoroark off its feet, quickly being followed by Sleep Powder. “What? He’s asleep!” Shouts Izzy in desperation. “Yeah, and I’ve got another trick now,” Shiroboshi says, “Saur, use Bullet Seed!” The Bullet Seed lands five times, quickly knocking out the Zoroark.

Izzy wasn’t ready for Shiroboshi’s strength, she realized, but she still sent out her final Pokémon saying, “This isn’t over yet! Go, Gardevoir!” Shiroboshi looks up and smiles, while he obviously knew he would have the advantage if he kept his Venusaur out, he withdrew it, saying, “Come back Saur, and go Gardevoir!” Izzy stares at him in shock for a second, but quickly recovers her wits saying, “Fine, another mirror match, you're on.” But Shiroboshi replies, “Not a mirror match, unless you can do this!” As Shiroboshi says this, he lifts his wrist and touches the keystone there, mega evolving Gardevoir. “Now use Ice Punch!” They both shout in unison. While both Ice Punches hit, the One from Shiroboshi’s side was stronger, as his came from a mega. Calmly, Shiroboshi says, “Finish it. Use ‘the move.’” Shiroboshi said this, with so much power in his tone, that Izzy was distracted, and didn’t see it all.

Quom saw the whole battle, and it was too shocking to her, Shiroboshi’s powers were nearly unrivaled, possibly he was even stronger than her. As Quom watched she saw what Shiroboshi referred to as ‘the move,’ and it was horrifying, a black hole opened up, sucking away Izzy’s Gardevoir’s power until it fainted. As Shiroboshi looked up, there was a dark look in his eyes, but it quickly vanished as he said, “So, that was a fun battle, right?” “Sure,” Izzy replied, staring at her poke balls, muttering, “I lost, how could I have lost?” “Hey, don’t take it too hard, it happens to all of us,” Shiroboshi said. Before Izzy could lunge at Shiroboshi, Quom intervened, “Well Shiroboshi, that was quite something. Do you want to help us on our mission?” “And what is that mission?” Shiroboshi asked. “To stop Quorom, have you heard of him?” Replied Quom, with Shiroboshi responding quickly, “Yeah, I have. Quorom Shiroboshi? Him?” “Yes,” Quom said, “Come to think of it, his last name is Shiroboshi, that's your first name, isn’t it?” “No, it’s my last name. I was never given any other name,” said Shiroboshi, “I think, that Quorom Shiroboshi, father of the seven Shiroboshi siblings, is my father. I think that I am the eighth Shiroboshi.” 

“Do you want to come with us?” Asked Quom. “I want to stop him to,” said Shiroboshi, “So yes. Though, I was headed to Lamonica to find my mother; Omega Shiroboshi.” “Then it’s settled,” said Quom, “We head to Venmos, stop Quorom, then, we head to Lamonica, to find Omega.” “Alright,” said Shiroboshi. “Wait, don’t I get a say in this?” Izzy asks. “Do you want to find Giratina or not?” Quom asks, with Izzy replying, “Fine, I’ll go along with it.” “Good,” Quom says, gathering her things, “Let’s go.” As they walk away, a figure steps out of the shadows and, ever so quietly, he follows them.
