Pokemon Legends: Lamonica chapter one

This is the first full chapter of my pokemon fanfic, enjoy! This is my third attempt posting this, I'm not sure what happened the other times.

Chapter 1:

Shiroboshi was ready for an adventure, but none ever came his way, so he decided a long time ago that he would go on his own! An adventure to find his family in the far away region of Lamonica and now that he was thirteen, he thought there was no better time to set out on an adventure. “Mr. Pryce?” Shiroboshi tentatively asked, “Are you awake?” “Yes Shiroboshi, I’m awake. What is it you need?” Mr. Pryce asked, from behind Shiroboshi, making him jump. “Well... I thought, I’m thirteen today and, I wanted to go on an adventure, to find my family,” Shiroboshi said in a rush. “And?” Mr. Pryce asked. “And I was wondering if I could go on an adventure?” Shiroboshi replied. With a sigh Mr. Pryce said, “I suppose, you are thirteen now and that is old enough to make your own decisions.” “Yes! Thank you, Mr. Pryce,” Shiroboshi said excitedly, “I’ll go get my things right away!” Shiroboshi quickly gathered his things to go off on an adventure to Lamonica and as soon as he said good by to Mr. Pryce, he was off. In Mahogony Town, he passed many people he knew, all asking where he was going, but with a quick reply, he was off again. Soon Shiroboshi made it to the ice tunnel, which could prove one of the hardest challenges on his journey. “Here goes nothing, through the ice tunnel and then it’s off to the rest of Johto and to Lamonica,” he said tentativly. And so off Shiroboshi went, into the ice tunnel.

Quom and Izzy were sitting by a fire, warming up after a cold day, walking through Johto. “Tell me again, why are we going through Johto, instead of straight through Hoenn and to Venmos?” Asks Izzy. “Izzy, I’ve told you! If we go through Hoenn, we’ll go straight through Quorom’s reign. Also, I have a friend who we’re going to stop by in Sinnoh,” Quom says with a sigh. “I suppose that all makes sense, but who is this friend of yours?” Izzy questions, finally interested, “Are they special to you?” “It’s nothing like that!” Quom shouts, flustered, “We just have a long history.” “Such as?” Izzy wonders. “Don’t ask. It won’t make you think any better of me,” Quom says, with a far off look in her eyes. Quom is in a room from her past, watching a scene unfold. “Are you sure you want to do this Shade?” Asks a younger version of Quom. “Yes, I’m positive, I have to do this, to stop Giratina,” says Quom’s childhood friend, Shade. “Fine,” Quom replies, as Shade gets into the bed in front of them to find Darkrai on Newmoon Island. The rest of it passes in a blur, until Quom gets worried that he won’t wake up. “Shade?” She asks, fear creeping into her voice. Hours pass, and still Shade does not wake. Quom starts crying, begging him to wake up. After nearly twelve hours and almost all hope is gone, Shade lurches awake, looks down and sees Quom crying. Quom feels a hand brush away her tears and looks up seeing Shade awake. Quom quickly jumps up, hugging Shade out of relief. “It’s okay, it’s okay,” Shade says, hugging her back. “Did you succeed?” Quom asks. “No, some... other force saved Giratina, at the last second,” Shade replies. “Well, we are going to stop him, no matter what,” Quom says, letting go of Shade with a fierce look in her eyes.

Quom is back in the present, crumpled on the ground. Izzy is staring at her and without emotion asks, “What happened?” “It’s... another long story,” Quom replies, clearly tired, “I’m going to go to bed.” “Not yet,” Izzy replies fiercely, “You owe me some answers.” With a sigh, Quom says, “Fine, about what?” “Well, for one, why did you save me atop the Sky Pillar?” Izzy questions. “It’s just the kind of thing I do, Quom replies. “What’s your goal in all of this?” Izzy asks next. “Defeating Quorom, like I already told you,” is Quom’s next answer. “You can go to sleep now, I’ll take first watch,” says Izzy, as Quom gets up and heads into the tent.

“I’m finally through that miserable tunnel!” Shiroboshi shouts with glee, “Where to next Gimme?” “Gimmi gimmi gimmighoul!” Gimme, Shiroboshi’s Gimmighoul shouts with glee, pointing at Goldenrod City. “Alright, Goldenrod City it is!” Shiroboshi says, “Let’s go!” They make quick progress on the back of Shiroboshi’s Tyranitar, nearing Goldenrod City within hours. They make a pit stop for lunch, about halfway to Goldenrod, all brimming with excitement. “Let’s see, what’s for lunch?” Shiroboshi asks, rummaging through his backpack, “No! I forgot to pack food! Just the stuff to mix it with!” Shiroboshi quickly starts looking around, until he sees a trainer. “Hi, do you happen to have any food? I seem to have forgotten to pack some,” Shiroboshi says, his stomach growling to annunciate his point. “You’re going to have to battle me if you want food,” says the trainer, holding up a poke ball. “Fine,” Shiroboshi says, thinking, I don’t have time for this, we’ll finish it quickly. “Go, Pidgey!” Shouts the trainer. “Go, Tyranitar!” Shiroboshi shouts, “Use rock Tomb!” The Rock Tomb quickly ends the battle, leaving the trainer slack jawed. “Fine, I’ll give you food,” the trainer says, handing him five bags of berries, each full of different types.

After a quick lunch, Shiroboshi was off again, heading, once again for Goldenrod City. Soon reaching the city, Shiroboshi notices something odd saying, “What’s that? Why are those two trainers just standing there?” As Shiroboshi says this a figure slips into the shadows, hiding from Shiroboshi. Shiroboshi makes his way over to the two figures in the distance and asks, “What are you doing?” One of them quickly turns around, while the other is graceful with her motion, “Just sightseeing,” says the second, as the other says, “Who are you and why do you care?” “I’m Shiroboshi, who are you?” Shiroboshi replies to the first one. “I’m Quom Nana-Iro, and my aggressive friend here is Izzy,” says the second one. “Why would you tell him our names?!” Asks the first one, who must be Izzy. “Because I have manners, unlike some people,” Quom says, enunciating the word some, “You look to be a strong trainer, do you want to battle?” “Sure,” Shiroboshi replies. “No! Let him battle me,” says Izzy.

Quom watches, as Izzy and Shiroboshi prepare to battle, each selecting their Pokémon. Then, in unison they both say, “Go Ceruledge!” Suddenly, they glare at each other, realizing what just happened and again in sync, they say, “Shadow Ball!” But, while both using the same move, Shiroboshi has a smirk of confidence, saying, “Trainers from all across the world have come to Mahogony Town, gym leaders, champions, and more. I’ve battled them all! And if there's one thing I’ve learned from those battles, it’s that Shiroboshi never loses!” As Shiroboshi says this, his Ceruledge’s Shadow ball collides with the other. But something was wrong with Shirooshi’s Shadow Ball; it had an inhumane quality to it, as if it were some ungodly power. It engulfed the other Shadow Ball and shot towards the other Ceruledge, growing to an unbelievable size. “Now, Ceruledge, finish it!” Shiroboshi shouts, as the Shadow Ball connects, knocking out Izzy’s Ceruledge.
