    Ash technically didn't catch Nebby(aka Solgaleo). He did care for it with Lillie but he never officially caught it.

    As for topic at hand, I'll take the Ultra Beast or the rare Poison type that Ash did catch. Ash only had two up to that point(Bulbasaur, aka the Grass starter and Muk whom he leaves at the lab 99.99% of the time). Only added Gengar during Gen 8 and it wasn't for its Poison typing either.
