There is no way to say for sure which wins since we can't pit a Max against a Mega yet
However, Mega Evolution lasts the entire battle
Max only gets three turns
Mega gets permanent boosts to stats while Max is only temporary
I think the buff from Mega Evolution is better than Max, and until we can use both in battle there is no way to say which is actually superior so we can only use experience
