Dual Types and Dual Energy Attacks
I think the next step DeNA should make for Pocket is to not only add dual type cards, but also dual energy attacks. I believe this would add an extra layer of depth to the game that not even the physical TCG took advantage of. More than half of all Pokemon are dual typed, so why limit that in the TCG both physically and digitally? I suggest bringing back the dual type cards first introduced in 2004 for a short time until being brought back in 2016 again for a brief period of time. New cards in Pocket like Rapid Strike Urshifu and Single Strike Urshifu prove that Dual Typing is a possibility, since the game is capable of calculating weakness properly from a card with two types. I think it would be better for both of these Urshifu and for future dual typed Pokemon to simple just have dual typing. Had they been dual typed from the start, that would have allowed for them to have maybe a second attack or a different kind of ability. Plus it doesn't make much sense that the new Budew can stop Urshifu from being fighting type; that doesn't thematically make any sense and typing dual typing to an ability makes it too gimmicky and non-viable.
Not only do I think that dual typing should be added, but I also believe that dual energy should be added; a single energy icon that represents TWO different energy. Please see the attached image for an example of what I mean. I used Grass and Metal for my example. This icon appearing in a cards attack means I can use the attack either with a Grass and/or Metal energy attached. This helps particularly heavily in Pocket with the random energy pool and the reliance players have on other cards to help ramp energy if the one they need isn't generated. Mixed energy decks are tough to run without the proper cards to assist you and the luck that the next energy you generate is the one you need. With a dual energy attack, it doesn't matter if you got Grass or Metal to generate in your pool, because your Pokemon has an attack that is [Grass/Metal] to use so either will do.
Please take my suggestion into consideration as I would love to see this be added to the game. It would help shake up the game with a new mechanic, while not being difficult to understand and adding further depth to an already great game. Thank you for your time.

For the energy I would much rather have the option for the energy pool itself to be able to (have a chance to) generate a dual energy. That way the idea is also backwards compatible with existing dragons and cards with attacks specifying other energy. Even if it wasn't guaranteed it would be helpful for all dual energy decks not just new cards.

I wasn't even thinking that, but that would be really impactful in a positive way. It would be Pockets version of special energy cards from the TCG, but it still only provides one energy per turn and only two specific types. Very nice addition to my suggestion, I'd love to see this all come together.

In the original TCG there are multiple Special Energies, so instead of reinventing the wheel... I believe that’s the path TCG Pocket will take in the future.
I can see them adding something like Rainbow Energy (which provides every type of energy) to help with multi energy type decks, even if it has a small drawback like self-damage.

Yeah, but I don't think that would be possible without making either energy cards you put in your deck a thing, or adding cards that manipulate the energy zone. The second option is more likely, but it's clumsy and a difficult beam to balance on.
Dual attack costs fixes this issue without having to change anything or add unnecessary glut to the game. You won't need to worry about dedicating deck space to energy cards (like DCE or rainbow) or cards that manipulate your own energy zone to generate better energy options. You now just have Pokemon that can use either energy regardless of what generates in your energy zone.
This image should help explain exactly what I have in mind. Notice the Cacturne is both grass and dark typed. This means it is both types for the purpose of other card effects and weaknesses. The Toxic attack it has has the half grass, half dark icon. This means either I can have a grass energy attached to use the attack or a dark energy attached to use the attack.

We will see... I'm not sure which would be the best way to adjust them for TCG Pocket, but they are gradually introducing mechanics from the original TCG.
Special energies have a significant impact on the TCG gameplay, so one would think they will eventually come to TCG Pocket.
