Letter to the Community - April 16, 2026
Greetings Pokémon TCG Live Community,
It’s not quite time for the next Pokémon TCG expansion, but we’re back with a short-but-sweet breakdown of new content and changes that will be coming as part of the Version 1.37.0 update on April 21, 2026!
Deck Editor Updates
As part of this upcoming release, some great quality-of-life changes are being made to the Deck Editor experience! Brewing up cool new decks will now be easier than ever:
- You can now choose from multiple import experiences when importing a deck from an external deck list.
- Continue importing cards as-is with the Classic setting, or choose to auto-select either owned cards or rarest owned cards!
- You can now view decks at full screen by entering Fullscreen Deck View while in landscape mode or on landscape devices.
- Easily see a full list of all cards in your deck at once, and export the list directly without changing or toggling views!
- We’ve removed auto-cycling from Big Card View.
- The experience will no longer auto-close and select the next card automatically when the card count is reduced to zero.
- We’ve added new visual cues to make it clearer what cards you do and don’t own.
- Unowned variant cards are darkened in the rarity selection menu.
- Card states start darkened when unowned, leaving the invalid icon solely for invalid states.
- There are also new unexchangeable icons on certain cards! When an unowned, unexchangeable card is in the deck, you’re given more details on validation information.
- Lastly, we’ve added a Deck Validation section to the Deck Editor’s deck panel when a deck is invalid to better inform players why a deck is invalid, as well as what changes they’ll need to make to address those issues.
We know the Deck Editor is an integral part of the player experience. More changes that continue to improve upon the Deck Editor and deck management experience are coming in future updates!
New Learning Lab Lessons
Dive into the Learning Lab with our newest lesson covering the difference between doing damage and placing damage counters! These two can be more confusing than a Kadabra, so we’ve created a dedicated tutorial to help you understand how both can carry you to victory!
This lesson topic is a direct result of player requests, so keep sharing ideas about the topics you’d like to see added next! Your continued input is crucial as Learning Lab continues to grow and adapt.
Improved Support for Tablet Devices
Android and iOS tablets with large enough screens and enough usable RAM will now support the desktop landscape mode by default, one of our top player requests. This option can be changed through the in-game settings. Thank you for playing Pokémon TCG Live, and we look forward to continuing to improve your experience as a player!
Look Forward to Future Pokémon TCG Live Updates
Stay tuned for more releases to come! There’s a lot of exciting content not far down the road that you won’t want to miss.
Thank you,
The Pokémon TCG Live Development Team
