When there is a will, there is a way. When I come back from my next trip, I'll look into it a bit. Never heard of it until yesterday so how much I'll understand is up in the air. I've been playing Diablo 2 for ~20 years but I recently stopped ever since Microsoft(via Activision) decided to destroy game balance by adding an 8th class(pretty much makes the Necromancer, a base class btw, irrelevant).

Currently in DungeonFog atm but as I look at the Daggerheart classes, it has Sorcerer/Sorceress, with an Elemental Origin subclass that I think fits my "Cold Sorceress" theme. I just won't be the "Defensive" DnD Sorceress with Clockwork Soul and what not. My element in this case would have to be Water since Ice is basically a frozen form of it.

Hmm interesting. Traits on Daggerheart are Strength, Agility(aka Dexterity), Finesse(another Dex?), Instinct(Wisdom vibes), Presence(Charisma if there ever was one) and Knowledge(Intelligence). Instead of rolling for values, we basically assign +2, +1, +1, +0, +0 and -1 to these Traits accordingly. My primary trait, if I'm reading it right, would be Instinct, hence I'd want +2 there. Sorcerers have two domains: Arcana and Midnight. Arcana is a general purpose magic while Midnight looks to be misdirection and more stealth spells(I think… need to read/understand more). So yeah… I got a ton of reading to do but a general outline of what I'd be is as follows:

    Class: Sorceress

    Domain: Arcana

    Subclass: Water Elemental

    Traits: Instinct(+2), Finesse(+1), Prescence(+1), Knowledge(+0), Agility(+0), Strength(-1)

Your class would be a Guardian.

The title of guardian represents an array of martial professions, speaking more to their moral compass and unshakeable fortitude than the means by which they fight. While many guardians join groups of militants for either a country or cause, they’re more likely to follow those few they truly care for, majority be damned. Guardians are known for fighting with remarkable ferocity even against overwhelming odds, defending their cohort above all else. Woe betide those who harm the ally of a guardian, as the guardian will answer this injury in kind.

They have two Domains: Blade(aka Fighting from the looks of it with Weapons) or Valor(something I think you'd like). For Subclass, I think you'd love Vengeance. Stalwart is also pretty good so you got a tough choice here.

Well… the only other option that would fit you would be Warrior:

Becoming a warrior requires years, often a lifetime, of training and dedication to the mastery of weapons and violence. While many who seek to fight hone only their strength, warriors understand the importance of an agile body and mind, making them some of the most sought-after fighters across the realms. Frequently, warriors find employment within an army, a band of mercenaries, or even a royal guard, but their potential is wasted in any position where they cannot continue to improve and expand their skills. Warriors are known to have a favored weapon; to come between them and their blade would be a grievous mistake.

Problem is you're a Monk where you do unarmed combat. I know you intended to do Barbarian eventually… but meh that's why I picked Guardian.

    I like this one!

I'm sure we can work out a unique warrior that doesn't use a blade
