Sail Fossil through Fan Call?

I was just playing with the Sail Fossil from Perfect Order - it says to "play" the card as a 60 HP colorless Pokemon. Does this mean I can look for it with Fan Rotom?

    No, you can't. All fossil cards (which have "Fossil" in their names) are Item cards instead of Pokémon cards, even if they can evolve anyway.
