Ange is just French for angel, likely to reference the fact that AZ made it for the purpose of peace. Most character names have meanings behind them. Sometimes it's something simple and easy to tell like Urbaine and Taunie being based on the words urban and town because it's a city, or Elio and Selene (the Alola protagonists) having names based on the sun/moon, sometimes it has more layers, like Lida's name meaning hard or strong in most languages to contrast Tierno's, her half-brother's name, meaning tender or soft in most languages. And there are names with a lot more layers than that. Most characters are just named after plants and flowers so most of it is usually flower symbolism.
