What do you desire from Pokémon but know won't happen?
The 30th Anniversary is in two days and everybody has been saying what they expect
My question isn't what you think will happen
What do you want from Pokémon ASAP but know they won't do it?
Me personally, I want Pokken Tournaments 2
I absolutely love DX
It is in my top five Pokémon games and number one for the spin-offs
I want a new one that includes all the old Pokémon with some new ones
Infernape, Ceruledge, Hawlucha, and Lopunny are just a few examples of what they should add
Also, new plot and story
Maybe a new feature
Add a bit to the battle system
I know this is highly unlikely to happen, but I have many fun and fond memories of this game and loved it so much
I don't know what I wouldn't do to get another

I remember duel, I first played it the day before it shut down, I was so sad after it shut down

2D spin-off games.
I loved Pokémon's sprite work, and they had really refined it by the fifth gen, only to ditch it for flat, stiff 3D models. I wonder if the sprite artists are still there.
A side series of 2D adventures would be a great way to cater to older fans or fans of the classic games.
They could be more challenging, with no exp. share, set battles by default, higher level opponents with more competitive teams. And they could delve into slightly more mature stories than the main games.
Unfortunately I doubt it will ever happen because 3D=better in the mind of the mainstream audience, and why cater to that niché, however noisy they may be, when everyone and their mothers buys the main games anyway?

I’m sad that most people think,
2d bad-3d good
Like that’s one of the main reason people hate the switch 2, there’s not a lot of big 3d games

Ninetales getting a secondary typing. Had every opportunity to give it one for Generations 2-9 but never bothered and it’s unlikely it will ever happen despite the fact it’s regional counterpart has one in Fairy typing(while also being an Ice type). I’ve advocated for Fire/Fairy but I just don’t think it’s going to happen.

A new Mystery Dungeon game. And also for gen 10 to be full of actual things to do like HGSS and BW2 and ORAS and USUM were. I just want to have fun doing something other than wandering and grinding. Please. XY, the most unfinished game pre-SwSh, can get me to 100 hours without making 90% of them be spent grinding, while Z-A had so much forced and pointless grinding compared to the little rewards you get for it and the lackluster tiny bits of story in-between that I never even finished the DLC's post-game because I couldn't stand it anymore, so I haven't played it in a few weeks. And also for a SM-level or BW-level story soon.
Unfortunately, I'd be shocked if any one of those things happen.
The most surprising would be the second one, which is sad. The last fun thing we got in a game was making curry in SwSh, a game from 8 years ago that only had that singular feature as a non-battle/dex thing to do. And while I hate to acknowledge this game's existence, BDSP ruined contests completely and made the worst part of DPPt's three minigames in contests into the only one. Was porting the move selection with contest-exclusive effects too hard for them? Couldn't they just port the feature, with every glitch in the original code from 2006 and 30 more, just like everything else in the game, and let people go "well, at least we have contests?" Did they have to make it even worse than the original pair of games that was already the worst of them and was just barely saved by Platinum?
The third one is also pretty unlikely.
Yes, I'm saying we're probably getting a new PMD game (not just a remake) sooner than we get TPC and GF caring about a game even a little bit.

I have to agree with the Pokken sequel, I kinda doubt it will happen, even though there are quite a few new Pokemon fighters that would fit (Greninja is the one I want most)
