Chapter 6: Sofia's First Boss Fight
I look at the Legendary Trio behind Lucius and then at Zane. "Alright, bud. It's up to you," I tell him. The monkey nods, walking closer to the enemies. The man raises an eyebrow.
"You're using a Fire/Fighting type against a Water, Ground, and Flying type," he questions, sounding a mix of shocked, humored, and intrigued. I simply nod, causing him to laugh. "Do you realize how dumb that is? What makes you think you could possible win?"
"I have plot armor," I answer. That's the best term I can think of for me. Being the Chosen One is like being the main character of a story. I know that no matter what I'm gonna win.
"That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard," Lucius tells me. "I'm not complaining, though. You being dumb makes my life easier." Then, he snaps his fingers and points at Zane. "Origin Pulse! Precipice Blades! Dragon Accent!"
"Dodge, jump, spin," I command, already bored with the battle. My partner cartwheels away from Primal Kyogre's water, jumps over Primal Groudon's earth shards, and twists out the way of Rayquaza's move with perfect timing. "Perfect. Now use Grass Knot, Thunder Punch, and Rock Slide."
As Zane lands on the ground, he shoves his fingers into the dirt, summoning vines that hit Primal Groudon's feet and causing it to trip. Then, he sprints forward, landing an electrified punch on Primal Kyogre. To finish it all off, he does a quick backflip and punches the ground, kicking the rocks that came up at all three opponents. Lucius just watches in pure shock, unable to believe what he just witnessed.
"Th-That's just an Infernape," he exclaims.
"Correction," I state. "This is an Infernape that spent his whole life training. He's been doing this since level one."
"Whatever," the Society Fixer snaps. "He's still an ordinary Pokémon against three Legendaries. It is impossible for him to win! Earthquake! Hydro Pump! Dragon Accent!"
"Mach Punch on Groudon then dodge," I tell my partner. Zane strikes Primal Groudon in the blink of an eye, hitting before it can shake the ground. Then, it quickly gets away right as Primal Kyogre blasts the Hydro Pump, hitting Groudon instead because of where Zane was. Rayquaza waited to attack until after Zane dodged, though, so it doves down and crashes into the monkey before he can dodge, dealing some massive damage. As the dragon soars back up, it shines with light and Mega Evolves.
"Not so powerful now, are you," Lucius taunts as Zane staggers to his feet.
"No, we are," I reply, much to my enemy's confusion. "We've already knocked out one of your Pokémon," I point at the fallen Groudon, "and you just angered Zane, which only makes him stronger."
Sure enough, my partner has a wide, maniacal smile, his eyes even wider. His head is at a slight tilt and he is staring at Lucius with a need for revenge. Zane gives his head a small twist and many pops come from it, sending a disturbed chill down the enemy's spine.
"W-Why does he look like that," the boss questions, obviously uncomfortable.
"As I said, he's angry," I answer. "All it takes is one good hit to set him off. Use Thunder Punch!" Zane screeches as he leaps forward, punching Primal Kyogre right in the nose. The whale is sent flying backwards, eventually crashing into the ground. "Great work! Now break the chip on Groudon."
The monkey does a dramatically high jump and flashy flip as it falls to the Ground type, foot out to hit the mind control device. "Oh, no you don't," Lucius Devious shouts. "Dragon Accent!"
Mega Rayquaza does a quick fly upwards before soaring back down, covered in green light. "Dodge it," I command. Zane's eyes immediately lock onto Rayquaza and he somehow manages to spin out the way and grab onto the dragon. He uses the Legendary as a bar to push himself higher into the air. "Nice! Now use Rock Slide!"
I don't know where his stones come from, but Zane summons some big chunks of rocks at his wrists, ankles, and tail. He then does a spin, launching these at all three opposing Pokémon. The rocks hit Groudon's chip and destroy it, releasing it from the control of the Society Fixers. The other stones just crash into Primal Kyogre and Mega Rayquaza, knocking the Dragon/Flying type out.
"HOW!?" the boss exclaims with pure shock as he looks at the fallen Pokémon.
"The power of forced training and being the Chosen One's Pokémon," I anwser. "Break the chip and finish Kyogre with a Grass Knot."
Zane comes back down from the air with a kick, landing on and crushing the device on Rayquaza's forehead. He then does a backflip and stuffs his hand into the dirt, vines spreading from his fingers and smacking the whale, which the collapses with defeat.
"BUT HE'S JUST AN INFERNAPE," Lucius screams at me. I don't even waste my breath to explain again that Zane is above almost every Pokémon because he's blessed and trained. Instead, I silently strut past the man to Kyogre and I personally destroy the chip on its head.
"You lose," I tell him with a smug smirk, infuriating the man further. Zane is bouncing around, cheering and hollering about being the best. Honestly, I'm shocked at how easy this was. I was expecting a better fight. I'm not going to complain, though. I like easy because it means I'll get to return home sooner.
"This isn't the last you'll be seeing of me," the boss growls at me, beginning to run. He doesn't make it far, though, because all three Legendaries block his path, glaring at him with pure anger.
"You're not going anywhere," Rayquaza states with a cruel smirk. The other two snicker and nod in agreement. Lucius may not be able to hear their words, but he definitely received the message. He turns to run, but all three Pokémon hit him with an attack (Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, and Hydro Pump) and literally obliterate him.
"Don't mind us," Groudon says to me with a friendly smile. "Just taking care of a pest."
"Thanks for your help human," Kyogre exclaims.
"No problem," I reply with a smile. The three are momentarily surprised that I understood them, but then remember me being the Chosen One and get over it.
"Great work out there," Arceus tell me in my head. "Your next place is-"
BOOM!!!
The entire ground shakes from a sudden crash of lightning. The sound came from behind me and when I turn to see it I find a giant purple storm approaching. "What is that," Zane asks.
"I don't know," I answer. "But it is in no way natural."
"No," Arceus exclaims. "That can't be! They were supposed to be in Johto and safe!"
"Who are they," I inquire.
"Sofia, you must go into that storm," the god tells me.
"WHAT!? Why," I demand. "And tell me, who are they?"
"Because that's where the next Legendary and Mythical is," the deity answers. "They are Mewtwo and Mew."
I'm not sure if I like how this turned out…
Also, in case you couldn't tell, Zane is incredibly overpowered
It helped that Lucius was arrogant and didn't give his all due to over confidence
Anyways, @UnovanZorua @UnownJ7 @Hey_PIKMIN @Thur55555555555 @Voltareon2012
Is that everyone?
I'm not sure
I hope you enjoy!
