Important Decision for Sofia's Story

Y'all are the people that read it so I figured I'd tag y'all
I need help with a decision
Should Sofia get a companion?
I have a future chapter thought out, but I have two endings for it
One is he joins Sofia and the other is she stays solo
I have the whole story planned for solo, however, I have some good ideas for companion as well
I'll leave this open until the guy comes into the story and then I'll choose the outcome based off how many people say which in this
So, without context, does he join Sofia?

Yes, but she constantly feels worried about him being in danger since he's not protected by Arceus and hasn't gone through the training she needed to go on this journey. She could have a small arc of learning that even though he's objectively much weaker in comparison to her whose had to go through so much since she was a child, he can still hold his own in battle and isn't completely incapable.

I think if she gets one, he should be joining against her will. She seems like the type who would push away friends in the moment, so I think she should not want him around at first, but then he grows on her. Also, I seriously like @UnovanZorua ’s suggestion.
