Would it be possible to know what resources are available for a new to competitive player?

I go to my local card shop and I played with my friends there on Sundays, but I'm new to playing competitively and want to know where to go for advice and deck ideas?

i look for ideas here in the forums or in the official website of pokemon when a new expansion comes out. The link is a PDF with a page that is about deck building.

Hi I’m new too. I suggest just use the ready to play deck. For example team rocket mew two, mega gangar… And using TCG live to practice and see how the cards/rules play. When you buy the battle deck, you will get the code card. Scan it, you will have the same whole deck on TCG live to play. Also, playing with friends, have them show you what you did wrong or something you should do to get better. Watching YouTube to find the deck you like. For example, I like dark and poison, I search for dark and poison deck. Watch any videos about 3 months old. I hope this will help! Good luck and have fun.
