Why did I get kicked out my Unite account during a match?

Was in the middle of selecting my Pokémon for a quick battle and was suddenly logged out of my Unite Account, wasn't able to log back in due to "web page error" and recieved a penalty once I could finally log back in. Is this a glitch or something?

That was a big problem for me the other day too. (IDK the answer, just wanted you to know that it has happened to others also.) Thankfully, for me, it wasn't a typical day in Unite. Hopefully the glitch gets fixed.
