Changes have been made to some Pokémon stats and moves to adjust the balance of Unite Battles.

Notice Regarding Currency Change in Bulgaria

On January 1, 2026, Bulgaria adopted the euro (EUR) as its legal tender, replacing the Bulgarian lev (BGN).

As a result, from January 1, 2026, the payment currency for Pokémon UNITE has been changed from the Bulgarian lev (BGN) to the euro (EUR).

The exchange rate to euros is 1 EUR to 1.95583 BGN.

Some prices may be adjusted in the future in order to set equal pricing among regions that use the euro.

Map Adjustments

To adjust the balance of Unite Battles, some map specifications have been changed.

Theia Sky Ruins

Kyogre

  • Duration of goal zone weakening after KOing Kyogre: 90s → 45s
  • Automatic HP recovery effect after KOing Kyogre: 5% max HP per sec → 4% max HP per sec

Balance Adjustments

To adjust the balance of Unite Battles, some Pokémon stats and moves have been changed.

Inteleon

Acrobatics

  • Cooldown: 7s → 6s

Liquidation

  • Movement speed decrease on self: 60% → 40%
  • Damage: 5% increase

Inteleon is an Attacker that specializes in consistent long-range attacks, but in the current environment, its damage against Defenders and All-Rounders was insufficient. The risk when approached by opponents was high, making it difficult to achieve returns commensurate with that risk. The frequency of move usage has been increased, and adjustments have been made to allow it to deal damage more safely.

Ho-Oh

Sacred Fire

  • Attack increase on self: 15% → 25%

Fire Spin

  • Shield effect: 10% increase
  • Percentage of damage taken for allies: 50% → 60%

Sky Attack+

  • Healing: 10% increase

Its ability as a Defender to hinder opponents and protect allies was lacking in the current environment, so its durability and support capabilities have been strengthened. Additionally, the Attack increase effect from Sacred Fire has been boosted to increase the pressure it can exert on opponents.

Suicune

Surf

  • Damage: 30% increase

Icy Wind

  • Slow effect: 20% → 30%
  • Slow duration: 2s → 3s
  • Damage when icicles shatter: 20% increase

Unite Move: Endless Ice Spikes

  • Required energy: 100,000 → 90,000 (10% decrease)

Compared to its other two moves, the hindrance capability and damage of Surf and Icy Wind were insufficient, leading to a long period of underperformance. Adjustments have been made so that these moves can offer a comparable level of performance. Also, as its durability was lowered in the previous adjustment making it easier to KO than anticipated, the frequency of its Unite Move has been increased to improve its overall hindrance capability.

Decidueye

Stats

  • HP: 3000–5152 → 3200–6000
  • Sp. Def: 30–230 → 76–330

Spirit Shackle

  • Damage taken by moving away from the stitch to the ground: 100% increase

Although it excels at dealing damage from a distance, its extremely low durability often led to it being at a disadvantage in long-range shootouts. Its stats have been improved to increase survivability, and it has been adjusted to better withstand Sp. Atk-based long-range attacks while dealing damage more effectively.

Machamp

Cross Chop+

  • Attack increase per basic attack hit: 2 → 3

Submission

  • Cooldown: 9s → 8s

Unite Move: Barrage Blow

  • Defense/Sp. Def increase: 250 → 300

Often, matches would end before Machamp could sufficiently raise its Attack. To allow it to perform well in the late game, the Attack increase gained from Cross Chop+ has been boosted, and its durability when using its Unite Move has been further increased.

Blastoise

Hydro Pump

  • Cooldown: 6s → 5.5s
  • Damage: 10% increase

Surf

  • New Effect: Now grants a shield upon hitting. (Note: In-game text description will be updated at a later date.)
  • Cooldown: 7.5s → 7s

Surf+

  • Shield amount: 20% increase

The hindrance capability of the Hydro Pump and Surf combination was somewhat lacking in the current environment. The frequency and damage of the moves have been strengthened, and a shield effect has been added to Surf to allow Blastoise to better fulfill its role as a Defender.

Vaporeon

Ability: Water Absorb

  • Recovery amount: 20% decrease

Hydro Pump

  • Damage: 7%–12% decrease

Aqua Ring

  • Recovery amount: 12% decrease

Flip Turn

  • Damage: 12%–17% decrease
  • Damage reduction effect: 25% → 15%

Flip Turn+

  • Damage reduction effect: 40% → 30%

Muddy Water

  • Damage: 10%–17% decrease
  • Slow effect: 40% → 30%

It possessed high durability and recovery, along with high hindrance capability and damage. Since it was too strong overall, adjustments have been made to bring its balance to an appropriate level.

Dhelmise

Ability: Steelworker

  • Additional damage: 15% decrease

Whirlpool

  • Anchor slam damage: 8% decrease
  • Cooldown reduction on basic attack hit: 1s → 0.8s

Whirlpool+

  • Cooldown reduction on basic attack hit: 2s → 1.5s

The additional damage from its Ability and the continuous damage from Whirlpool were high. Combined with its powerful hindrance capability, this created situations where opponents had no room to escape. The damage has been reduced, and the frequency of move usage has been slightly curbed.

Mimikyu

Trick Room

  • Damage reduction effect: 70% → 50%

The damage reduction effect while inside Trick Room's area was extremely high. Combined with high mobility, this often allowed Mimikyu to attack one-sidedly while ignoring counterattacks. The damage reduction effect has been lowered to create room for opponents to counter.

Miraidon

Unite Move: Bright Future Meteor Storm

  • Damage: 12%–8% decrease

The burst damage from its Unite Move was extremely high, leading to situations where a single hit could decide the match. To ensure a healthy battle environment, the damage amount has been reduced.

Mega Charizard X

Ability: Solar Power

  • Additional damage: 20% decrease

Ability: Tough Claws

  • Additional damage: 20% decrease

The additional damage from its Abilities was high, giving it overwhelming strength in close-quarters combat. The amount of additional damage from its Abilities has been reduced.

Mega Gyarados

Ability: Mold Breaker

  • Defense/Sp. Def increase: 50% → 30%
  • Defense penetration effect: 40% → 30%

Dragon Breath

  • Automatic attack damage while Mega Evolved: 15% decrease

Unite Move: Dragon Current

  • Required energy: 80,000 → 100,000 (25% increase)

Due to the high durability and defense penetration capabilities granted by its Ability while Mega Evolved, it remained difficult for opponents to counter. In addition to curbing the frequency of its Unite Move, the stat boosts during Mega Evolution and the damage of its main offensive move, Dragon Breath, have been reduced to create openings for opponents to deal with it.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs have been fixed.

  • Fixed a bug where Dhelmise's Anchor Shot would hit Pokémon positioned behind Dhelmise.
  • Fixed a bug where Comfey could not score together with an ally while attached to them.
  • Fixed a bug where, if the effect of KOing Kyogre overlapped with a goal zone defenseless due to Regieleki, players could still score immediately even after the Regieleki effect ended.
  • Fixed a bug where the HP recovered from the effect gained after KOing Kyogre was being counted in the result screen stats of the Pokémon that KO'd it.
