Design the next Pokémon game starters
I want a Grass Bear, Fire Dog, and Water Cat
The Bear final will be Grass/Fighting
High attack and defense, but low speed
The Dog final is Fire/Dark
High speed and attack, but low defense
The Cat is Water/Ice
Its stats are more all-rounded
The Bear is bulky and bipedal and often ignores others, not caring what happens. It only gets aggressive when something bothers it
The Dog is all fours and scrawny and just seems shady, always smirking smugly
The Cat is on all fours and is always glaring, seeming rude and often aggressive
The Bear's unique attack is a charge one. It gets a defense increase on the first turn, the next one it swings itself full force into the opponent. It is a physical Grass type move that does 100 damage, dealing more for every defense increase the Pokémon has.
The Dog's unique attack is a Fire type physical attack that does 90 damage and decreases a random stat from the target.
The Cat's unique attack is ranged Water attack that does 70 damage but double when in hail/snow.
Their abilities are obviously Overgrow (I know that's wrong), Blaze, amd Torrent, but the Hidden Abilities are:
The Bear has Huge Power or Unaware
The Dog has either Defiant or Moody
The Cat has either Snow Warning or Intimidate
As you can see I'm not for sure on any Hidden Ability, but those are what I'm thinking
I look forward to seeing y'all's answers (and opinions on mine)

@Hades0918 my opinions on those starters are as follows:
- We don’t need a second Chesnaught disguised as a bear.
- Try picking new type combos incinaroar is already pretty broken in vcg we don’t need a second.
- The cat is a great Idea ice isn’t. With the dual types being fighting dark and ice the bears fighting will do super effective damage to all of the others. Most starter trios don’t have dual types or they form a chain eg: Dark>psychic>fighting>dark.
OK but I love having a dog bear and cat but the dual types could use some work.

1: I forgot about Chesnaught (I do that often)
2: While yes it is the same type, I already realized that. I kept it that way because they function differently, making them unique with the same type
3: I didn't think of how they paired up. The cat was going to be Water/Fairy, but I remembered Primarina and I got a better idea for Ice
This is still a work in progress, though
I still haven't determined Hidden Abilities
I will be updating here
My second choice for the bear was a Grass/Dark, but then I made the Dog Dark and Fighting matches its bulk

Something I thought of, though
Water/Ice actually makes Fire neutral
While the Bear has advantage over both, Fire and Ice are super effective on it
And then, as you already stated, Fighting is strong against both
In a weird way they do work, just not at well as others
Plus, who says we need to stick with tradition?
Why not have fun with the pairings?

@Hades0918 I was thinking that the cat could be psychic and that would round everything out. Dark>Psychic>Fighting>Dark and the usual water fire grass pattern.

I already designed a water cat since there was a Grass one and a Fire one. Its name is Slimeow and its pure water.

I will be honest, though, @Thur55555555555
Grass/Fighting, Fire/Dark, and Water/Psychic has really good balance
