Is it worth to come back to the game after months away

I started playing TCG Pocket in the beta phase, but few months after the oficial release I no longer found it fun so I stoped playing it...

I was thinking about return, but I not sure if it's worth it, what's your opinion... is it a good or bad idea?

Could the game still be fun to play again or would I be just too far behind and would require too much effort for f2p player?

ah just to collect cards isn't enough to get back... atlist for me.

But why you believe isn't worth it? any special reason?

I left at the Arceus packs

I never started the packs after them

My phone didn't have space and I had to delete it

Honestly, though, I started to not really enjoy it anymore

It felt like they put a whole lot in it in a short amount of time and it got bland and annoying

Now all I hear about the game is how bad it's doing

I would redownload it, me personally, because I want something short and simple for my free time

I don't, though, not only because of data space, but because none of my old progress would be saved

    I'm not starting from scratch

It's just a free game and a bit of fun. I think I downloaded it around January this year - so months afer release. I have been a f2p player. I only recently started enaging with it more in order to trade and share with other users. I play some pvp versus battles but usually only during events.

If you like pokemon just give it 10 minutes a day for opening packs and trading/sharing, you could easily get enough EXs from which you can battle and win games if you want.

I don't understand why people post that the game is stressing them because they can't collect ALL the cards. I am f2p and although I have less than 3000 cards and have seen lvl 56 players with 25000 cards I really don't mind that. I have collected most of the cards for the previous releases and have a fair amount of high rarity cards too. There are at least 2 promo paid cards which f2p players can't collect anyway as promo cards are not tradable/shareable but it's not a big deal for me.

At the end of the day, it's just pixels on a screen and Nintendo can pull the plug on these pixels on a screen anytime they want (mind you according to them this is a cash cow now so not likely) - so no use taking the game too seriously. If you can spare a short amount of time per day for it and it helps you relax and have a bit of fun - go for it.

Ok, thanks all for the feedback.

I guess for now I'll stay away from it... some day when I get more free time I my try it again 😉

I still find it a lot of fun. I mostly play solo, but I started making off meta decks and have had fun there. But honestly the meta is really healthy. I've played dozens of not more TCGs over the last 26+ years and Pocket is one of the healthiest I've seen a game be. I was worried about Megas being too strong of a power creep, but they aren't bad to deal with.

I would say the choice is still up to you, but personally I have been having a blast.
