My Pokémon White 2 Nuzlocke

I'm sorry to tell you this but SV's only saving grace is Area Zero and the ending (not the ending song, whoever made that song decision should've had a different job and I could write multiple paragraphs on my hatred for it) because the rest is too unfocused to count as a full story to me. Z-A had some good ideas, but they feel forced in and the story doesn't focus on anything until the end.
BW focused on its themes about what it means to be a Pokémon Trainer and knew what it was doing with every character and event in the story in relation to the themes and messages it wants to tell, unlike those two. And SM's theme of family and the theme of tradition and change are visible in almost every character and are at the center of the story. We haven't gotten a story that knew what it was doing as well as those two in a while. And both of them have obvious themes that they show from the start of the game instead of the second half.

I didn't get to play the game yesterday apart from one random trainer battle, so just the same.

I like Dewott better but that's because I read the manga and was like "BRO SECRET POLICE DEWOTT"

That Dewott is lowkey one of my top five characters

SV did indeed have story BITS. Little stories. They're just unhelpful. And as for BW saying what it means to be a Pokémon Trainer, every generation has rewritten it. Starting from X, the games I've played have all defined what a Pokémon Trainer and Pokémon is.
A soul link.
A true friend.
An athlete.
A random kid (hehe this one's SV)1 -
You can't be saying that N and Team Plasma's whole story and trainers battling in stadiums and being celebrities are the same. Though, I might've explained BW's themes wrong as I haven't played it in 2 years so I could experience BW2 the right way, and was thinking about N and Team Plasma being so prominent when I wrote that comment. I think it was more so about past/future, Pokémon/humans, and truths/ideals, sorry.

I'm saying the very OPPOSITE! Every generation, what it means to be a Pokémon Trainer has been defined at least a little differently. Just think about it: X/Y your bond is almost like an almost tangible thing, and a literal power source! SM is more like how Pokémon respond best when they're your friend. SwSh being a Pokémon Trainer means crowds cheering for both you and your friend Pokémon! SV: I have no idea, which is why I didn't like it.

SV I think was supposed to show that the point of being a trainer is to do what makes you happy with your Pokémon.
Picnicking, battling, exploring, etc.
You did it with your partner in a wide open world.
Doesn't Nemona have a line talking about everything being better with your Pokémon?

yeah, but most rivals have a line like that. Not a bad idea though.
