No retreat bug

After playing some matches an using attacks that are suppose to prevent the active pokemon from being able to retreat and then the other players next turn they retreat!! Im sure this is bugged an not working. I have had match and the other discarded energy an retreat their active. A match where they had latias on their bench an retreat their active. And a match where they put balloon on their active an then retreat! None of these should of made it possible to retreat.

Theres a couple different pokemon i have used that have an attack that prevents them from retreating their active. I also have played matches where the other player uses these attacks an it has stopped me from retreating.

I dont know if its just some pokemon this is happening too. Just know its happened enough times to me that i think its bugged. They didnt use any kind of switch item or stadium or anything that lets you SWITCH your active. All were retreats! I even checked the battlelog, becuz i was like how did he just retreat!! An it said in the log, player retreat!

In these ranked matches these things cost me a win!

Can you provide the log. There are three ways without using switch or supporter.

If the pokemon evolves the new pokemon recovers from this special condition and so can retreat freely. The other way is they had mist energy attached and so can't have the condition applied when doing the retreat lock attack.

The other is the pokemon has an ability that means it can't have special condition applied like toadscruel ex with grass attach to any Pokémon or charmeleon ability don't know the name tbh

Did they evolve or have mist energy on?

It might be mist energy. I didnt notice if thats what it was, but i have been noticing alot of opponents using mist energy in recent matches. So im assuming thats what i missed.
