I think this is my new favorite Pokémon game! And it's not even for the story.
Don't get me wrong, I find the story interesting and want to climb the ranks. But what I'm enjoying is exploring!
You see, in S/V's open world, there was a lot to explore but I never truly explored it. I've probably found maybe a bit over half if the secrets of each area on the map. In Kitakami, I didn't really care to explore it. Blue Berry Academy I explored at first but then got bored and focused on the story. There wasn't anything wrong with it, it's just that there are so many things to find, like hidden caves, land, and Pokémon, that it became overwhelming. I didn't know what I was looking for or where to start, so it was fun at first but once I went through the obvious areas and a few unknown spots I would be content.
However, I feel different in Lumios. I feel a need to explore. When I'm walking down the street and see a random alley way I just gotta turn! I'm on a roof top and see an unknown platform beneath me I need to get to it! I'm actually looking for more areas and places and feel a thrill every time I find one.
I'm sure that's how others feel about Paldea, but I never got that feeling.
I enjoyed S/V because of its story, doing its quests the moment I recieved them. For this game, though, I've been taking detours and exploring the map instead of doing the story. I'm still at Rank W even though I could've climbed so much higher with my time. I could already be making Mega Stones but instead I'm comparing my Budew that I don't even use to some other NPC's. And I'm enjoying it!
Honestly, I even like it more than Sw/Sh, which for me means a lot!

I WSH I could post my character! I chose the black skinny jeans, changed to a black cap, I have a small ponytail with the bangs that cover the eyes (I'm going to change to a full ponytail, though), changed the shoes to I don't remember the name but the color scheme is Navy/Brown if I remember correctly, black gloves, and I kept the MZ Jacket. I don't think I've ever loved Izzy more! (Just a bit of explaining, every first profile for Pokémon games I'm a female with the name Izzy. The girls normally have cuter customization options so I just always go with her.)

Also, I want to share my team on here.
Feraligatr (LaterGatr), Floette (Flowerer), Quilladin (Pins), Braixen (Phoxy), Frogedier (Ninja), and Gardevoir (Princessa).
Flowerer will unfortunately be leaving in the future.
My cousin got a side quest to see Mable and she let him choose one of the three Kanto starters. My choice will obviously be Charmander (Char) and will replace Flowerer. This is sad, though, for two reasons. One is I've grown attached to it and two it is at level 24 but Char will be 5.
